Cultural Mastery: How to Thrive – and Survive – in Today’s Culturally Complex World


Workshop Description:  

In this session, you will learn how to authentically connect, create and collaborate with people of diverse cultures. First, you will learn the true meaning of culture and how to apply this understanding for optimal results and relationships in life and business. Then, you will be taken through The Six Stages of Cultural Mastery which will provide you with the framework to properly connect, create, and collaborate with people different from yourself. The first two Stages of education and engagement are connecting Stages, Stages Three and Four are empathy and excitement and are the key to creativity, and then in Stages Five and Six, you will learn how empowerment and endearment create the highest levels of collaboration. You will also learn in which Stages leaders become naturally inclusive and just, and which Stage is directly tied to our ability to create cultures to which people want to belong.

Ricardo’s Bio:  

Ricardo founded Bilingual America in 1992 and is still the acting CEO. He is the author of The 6 Stages of Cultural Mastery, The 6 Stages of Cultural Sales, The Cultural Transformation Manifesto, and The 12 Hidden Truths to Learning Spanish. His next book is scheduled for release in March of 2021 and is entitled, To Belong or Not to Belong – How to Create a Culture Where People Long to Be.


He is also the course developer and teacher of the CulturalMastery™, SpanishPower™, LíderesExitosos™, InglésPoderoso™, and Success with Hispanics (under revision) courses.


Ricardo is an internationally respected expert in the fields of cultural mastery and transformation, diversity and inclusion, Hispanic culture, and foreign language acquisition. He speaks on cultural mastery, cultural transformation, multi-cultural leadership, diversity and inclusion, organizational culture and Latino / non-Latino business relations.


Ricardo is a founding member of The Speakers Guild of America, a professional member of the National Speakers Association and a speaker for Leadercast.
He has undergraduate degrees in theology and communications and also Masters Level training in counseling. He reads one book weekly and is a voracious consumer of courses of top experts in interpersonal relationships and business.
